About Unsupervised
“Unsupervised” started to come together sometime during the mid to late 90’s while many of its members were in the middle of their college days at LSU. Several future members headed out of town for a drinking weekend without their “significant others” – they were truly UNSUPERVISED for the weekend, and a group with a mission was born.
Our initial tailgating efforts included a tiny trailer located over on Nicholson by the railroad tracks. We quickly outgrew that trailer and were forced to construct a new and improved trailer/tailgating party platform. Our members include many with different skills and trades – the creativeness and “over the top” attitude towards tailgating really started to show in this 2nd trailer.
Somewhere along the line, someone tossed up the idea of buying a school bus and converting it into an RV. We had observed several commercial ventures operating school bus conversions, but we had yet to see one sporting the Purple and Gold. We were lucky enough to find a 1982 Ford School bus for a whopping $600, and The Unsupervised Bus was born. Check out the T.U.B. section of our site for the rest of the story.
Due to our move into T.U.B. we were forced to leave our old home on Nicholson and set up shop in Touchdown Village #367. We’ve continued to grow each year, and we strive to be as fun and free-wheeling tailgate as you can find – we welcome all who are looking for a good time and want to support our Tigers along with us.
We have food at most games, and proudly drink ABITA beer at each and every game, including our road trips.
Although we strive to avoid the hassle of paid memberships, we do ask that you consider donating or buying a T-Shirt if you enjoy our tailgates. Please see the section below for more information!
